The success in Stockholm marked the beginning of a period of dominance. As early as 1969, Eleiko became the first brand to be certified by the International Weightlifting Federation. It then established itself in powerlifting as the official supplier to the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF), before going on to supply equipment for the Olympic Games, the Paralympic Games and the World Championships.
The brand has even shaped the sport’s standards: its colour-coded weight plates have become the official standard for international competitions. And the figure that sums it all up: over a thousand world records have been set using an Eleiko barbell. On our Strength platform, you’ll be lifting exactly the same equipment as the champions on the world’s biggest stages.

Six decades on, nothing has changed in the essentials: every Eleiko bar is still manufactured at the Halmstad factory, using Swedish steel forged specifically for the brand. The precision is such that every competition bar leaves the factory with its own certificate: production date, serial number, and the name of the craftsman who has certified its quality.
